Giving cheerfully is relatively easy when we’re giving voluntarily to a person or cause that’s important to us.
Giving cheerfully is much more difficult when we feel pressured or manipulated, or when we don’t really have a heart for those to whom we are giving. If we’re giving to God’s work, we ought to give cheerfully.
2 Corinthians 9:6-7
But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows [a]bountifully will also reap [b]bountifully. 7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of [c]necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.
